LONDON — Mobile TV chip specialist Siano Mobile Silicon Ltd. (Netanya, Israel) has the availability of its SMS1230 mobile TV chip, which supports the DVB-T, ISDB-T, T-DMB, DAB and FM Radio standards.
The SMS1230 enables reception of DVB-T at speeds of 200-kilometers per hour. In ISDB-T (deployed in Japan and Brazil) it exhibits immunity to analog and digital interfering signals. A combination of two SMS1230 units operating in harmony supports antenna diversity, which further increases the reception performance.
The SMS1230 is available in sample quantities with volume production starting in November.
